Ways to stay motivated and get that work out done


Sometimes you just don’t want to work out or eat healthy. You loose that motivation and that’s normal, it happens every now and then. I know I struggle to wake up at 5am some days to get that morning workout in.

Some ways I stay motivated 

  1. I have a Tumblr blog where I post and look at fitness pictures. (I try to look at it every morning when I wake up). It helps me a lot to get up and go to that morning crossfit class. (You can take a look, you’ll find it on my blog under blogroll. Scroll all the way down).
  2. I only buy healthy food. I have a box of organic cookies for when that sweet tooth kicks in.
  3. I read other fitness blogs and get ideas for recipes and workouts.
  4. I wash my hair only on days I work out.
  5. I say to myself only 10 minutes and if I want to leave I’ll leave. When I say that it makes me feel like no one is making me stay and it’s not something I HAVE to do, since it’s not something I HAVE to do. The feeling turns into something I WANT to do.
  6. I think about how bad and lazy and tired I’ll feel if I don’t workout. The guilt of not working out gets me up in the morning as well.

Ways to stay motivated 

  1. Make a fitness board and put it where you always see it.
  2. Having trouble going for a run? Download zombies run app. It’s a really cool app that makes it seem like your running away from zombies. With headphones on you can hear them like they were right behind you. It also has a lot of more cool features you should check it out!
  3. Wear tighter clothes. Wearing loose clothes tends to make you more comfortable and people usually tend to gain a couple of pounds.
  4. Start a hobby that helps you stay active. (Yoga,run,crossfit,bicycling,aerial yoga, pole dancing).
  5. Follow fitness blogs/Instagrams.
  6. Wash hair only on days that you work out.
  7. Buy cute leggings and tops to work out in.
  8. Wear the cute leggings and top.
  9. Try group fitness. Having other people around you striving to get fit and working out gives of a good energy and gets you pumped.
  10. Work out in the morning. When you do, you get it out of the way faster and you don’t have to think about working out the whole day which can make you start dread it.
  11. Buy a cute dress (smaller than your actual size) and hang it somewhere. Wear it when you drop the weight you want.
  12. Take pictures in your work out clothes. After that intense workout. Take a cute picture of yourself doing yoga and share it on your social media profile. Going through your social media and seeing all the cute pictures of you working out helps to stay motivated.

FOOD and WINE Festival at EPCOT 

So, the bubs and I were in desperate need of a vacation. Since I’ve always wanted to try out the food & wine festival at Orlando, Fl Epcot, we decided hell yeah! Trying food all day doesn’t sound to shabby. 


When we got there, we decided to try out some rides before actually eating at the festival. Soo, we decided to try Mission to space … what a bad idea. I guess the bubs and I really CANNOT handle motion stimulators or have any career in being astronauts in the near future. When you get to the ride you have the option to pick the not so intense one and the intense one. The bubs was all like INTENSE, INTENSE… I could choke him. Well when we got of we had to walk around and sit in restruants for like 40 minutes before finally feeling like ourselves again. I stopped at nearly 5 trash cans ready to puke. After all of this we finally got to the festival !

Waist training hurts! 


Okay, even though I’m more of a eat healthy and excercise type of gal. I decided to give this waist thing a try. I purchased the A garment in small from waistgang society and I believe it was 120$. So far .. Not liking how pricy it was. But if it does its job then the price is always worth it. Today was DAY ONE and I only had it on for about 2 hours. I’m pretty sure you are supposed to have it on longer. The indications on the website said about 6 hours I think? Well, anyhow after 2 hours my whole stomach and back started to burn so I had to take it of. Not only was I not able to breathe but it was also very uncomfortable I could not bend or sit in a relaxed position. I asked waistgang if it would always be so uncomfortable, they said no, after a few wears the garment would stretch and be more flexible. Which turned out to be true, it was a LITTLE easier to sit and bend after 2 hours of wearing it.

Waist training isn’t for everyone. And so far I think it’s not for me either. BUT I’ll try it out and see how it goes (:

Healthy eats in Miami

People think that there aren’t that many healthy go to restaurants options in Miami. Well, I created a list to give you more options on healthy eats. I know sometimes people may struggle with traffic, work, time, to busy and end up going to the nearest place which almost always ends up being: Taco Bell, McDonalds, Wendy’s, BK, KFC, (wow there are to many to even name!). Maybe by waking up a little earlier or making time, you can also eat healthy and begin your healthy lifestyle.

  1. WHOLE FOODS MARKET

Whenever we get hungry for lunch or dinner, sometimes we go to Whole Foods and grab from the food bar. They have EVERYTHING you can think of!

 

2. Starbucks whaaaaaat?

Starbucks is not healthy, just want to point that out before anything, BUUUUT they do have this blueberry oatmeal ! yummyyyy

Okay so this place.. I absolutely L O V E! They have a variety of bowls, soups, wraps, burritos, salads, smoothies, cleanses, frozen yogurt, and a special breakfast menu. They also have meal plans that you can buy and get a week or month’s worth of food for breakfast lunch and dinner. And like if that wasn’t enough, you can build your own anything.

4. Super Smoothie

They have wraps, salads, smoothies, soups, protein smoothies. I will come here every once in a while for lunch on a work day. They are quick and yummy 🙂  Just in case, this super smoothie is located in Doral, Fl.

Get a good nights sleep 

So.. I’m horrible at going to sleep early. Most of it has to do with my job, I usually always get out at 11pm or 12am. But I still always strive to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night.

Why is sleep so important ? 

When you are trying to be healthy and fit and going crazy in whole foods and working out until you drop at the gym. You HAVE to have a good nights sleep every night. It’s a Big part of being healthy. Just like drinking water ..

I remember I read this in a self magazine. I don’t remember who it was (I’m pretty sure it was a Victoria Secret model ) they asked her; so what is your secret to staying radiant and healthy? She answered, “I sleep a lot and drink a lot of water “. 

After I read that, I kid you not I drowned in water and woke up with so many eye bags because I slept TO MUCH. (I tend to overdue everything)

Sleeping is great! It’s not like we have to motivate ourselves to get sleep.. I understand motivation is needed to stay fit and go to the gym but sleep? Theirs keys to staying healthy and if sleeping is an easy one, just knock that one right out of the list and hit the snooze!
